The road of the company towards quality started with the active participation in the Quality Innovation Project (PIQ) – described below:

“Quality in the system of computer technology companies in Sicily” – organized by the Sicilian scientific and technological park (PSTS) in collaboration with The Ministry of the University and Scientific and Technological Research (MURST), recognizing in IBM Global Service the subject to carry out the project.

The objective of PIQ is to increase the competitiveness of PMI Sicilian computer science, promoting a quality system based on existing advanced models, with particular reference to the EFQM model of excellence.

The model which was the inspiration for our company is that of “Premio Qualita Italia”; the model can be sub-divided into nine criteria distinguishable by factors and results.

Through the arrangement of the auto valuation model, “Informatica” participated in the VI edition of the “Premio Qualita Italia” in 2000 for PMI, finishing in the top placed companies and receiving a recognition“ a mention for the South of Italy” on the part of the association “Premio Qualita Italia” (APQI).

The validity of the model adopted by the company was also confirmed for the year 2001, thanks to the triumph at the “Premio Qualita Italia “– Regional “Premio” “Altri Regioni”.

The constant implementation of the processes linked to TQM, has allowed Informatica to reconfirm the quality certificate for the year 2004.

In 2005 with the participation at the”Premio Qualità Italia” (Italian Quality Prize) competition,  L’Informatica received an important national award for the satisfactory results in the Excellence Management www.apqi.it.
500 firms participated to the competition and L’Informatica is among the 4 who gained a prize, so we can say it is very prestigious reward that qualify our company as one of the best in Italy.

The social impact became more strong with the participation in the project “Sahara Verde (Green Sahara)” carried out by the ”pane e rose“ (www.saharaverde.com) onlus organization and aimed to the construction of infrastructures in Africa. Beside an important economical contribution the firm has given further support in the research of other economical resources.
Thanks to this project a wide part of Saharian Africa afflicted with dryness will have 8530 sinks and common kilns that will be also of social relevance as aggregation point and represent the first step toward a better quality of life.
